Yes Iran has every right to self defense, even placing missiles on the territory of other states in alignment with them for the sole purpose of "wiping other states of the map". But Iran does not have the right to claim self - defense! They fired the first shot in 1979 in an act of international hostility towards the U.S. when over a 444 day period American hostages were held in American sovereign territory. That territory was the now abandoned U.S. embassy in Tehran.

I could list the multitude of chronological events since that time, but why bother. The sole purpose of Iran's Islamic revolution is for the Caliphatization of the entire planet, with Tehran as the epicenter of Shi ite control. Better wake up friend and take a close look at the real enemy is, and reverse the hijacking of one of the world's most precious religion's and faiths. Islam.
