Buffett's ‘Income'

Tax simplification does not necessarily mean a flatter or flat tax. It means that loopholes and gimmicks that have been engineered by interests groups are pushed to the way side.

If a graduated income tax is not within the consideration of the The Sun, than the truth is that you are looking to further inequity, carrying it to whole classes of people, and making sure to the best of your ability that America can ultimately have the entrenched aristocracy that we once fought to rid ourselves of.

Your argument is based on the rhetoric of a debater, not common sense. Buffet's capital gains "on paper" this past year, are not relevant, to what he had to say about the taxes he paid, yet it was a major part of your argument.

I would think you would hold Buffet's own opinion , as an extrordinarily successful investor, in higher regard as a common sense fellow, that didn't get where he is based on the gimmickry so many are using today to make their fortunes.

Underpinning his views seems to be the people of this country and our collective future, not some partisan view and the benefits that might go to our more sophisticated anglers.
