I felt the assessment of the lack of creativity was a little harsh. When you consider the retreads that Arena continually played and his last minute shuffles of players and poor showing at the WC Bradley is doing a great job of bringing new faces and fresh possibilities to the game. I felt the comments on Clark verses Reyna were not based in reality. Reyna regularly gave away fouls in the defending third. His successful pass ration was best when he played in the EPL for Man City. Different game, different style. Mastroani also has problem keeping his feet to himself and earning cards. We depended far too long on those two and the controlled game and measured back pass. In fact at my house we called Reyna "Mr. Backpass". I am glad the apron strings from University of Virginia to Arena have finally been cut. It is refreshing to know that there is an entire group of international players from the US who seemed to be ignored do to pedigree finally getting a look. I like what Bradley is doing. I like the increased pace and the more risky play. As the US developes under him I think that the quality of play will improve. I agree that the current level of finishing is abissmal. For all of Donavans acolades he is delicate on the ball and has a declining work rate. Part of which can be blamed on not having a consisitent position. I will be attending the U21 games this summer in Canada and look forward to seeing the future stock of US players and international opponents. Soccer is the best sport in the US and around the world. The more we share as fans and players, the greater chance we have of beeing able to enjoy it where ever we, wether we are here at home or traveling abroad.
