Farewell to Ferri

Submitted by Sir Joshua, Jun 25, 2007 07:06

There was a notable absence in Ms. Ferri's last ABT Romeo & Juliet. That was that of Mr. Corella in the part of Romeo. Fit and able, Ms. Ferri had requested him not to partner her and instead drew in Mr. Bolle of the Royal with whom she has performed the partnership on numerous occassions. A bit of performance pique perhaps, or backstage politics tempered her resolve on this, regardless, she will be missed and certainly be a point of reference for future Juliets. Let's face it: the real star here is Kenneth MacMillan.
