ten years ago I blew the whistle on a cheating scandal within my own school. My principal did it for his ego, now the stakes are higher. Real money!!! A fifty point gain is really unbelievable and how anyone at the board of education could celebrate it, without thinking it is odd ,is a testament to how desperate our system is for "good news". I am not surprised, I can predict there will be one or two people who take the fall for Ms. Lopez, just as one or two people took the fall ten years ago when Ed stancik investigated and the board of ed took 1 year to have any hearings. Long enough for the real criminals to retire.Ms Lopez will enjoy her inflated pension for many years while children are denied any real help sue to inflated scores.
