Interesting comparison to Will Clark in 1998 and his quick decline before retiring after 2000.

In Will Clark's final season in 2000 (age 36), he actually batted .319 with 20 HRs and 70 RBIs. Split stats with Baltimore he hit .301 and with St. Louis he hit .345. So-i think Clark could have milked out a couple more decent years.

I got the point though, it's a great article about the warning signs of decline.
