Give me a break. Both Knicks and Celtics fans VASTLY overrate the current talent on their ballclubs. Neither of them truly have the talent to match the Bulls in a trade scenario.

But that being said, why would the Bulls trade for Garnett? Just about one year ago, John Paxson offered Luol Deng, Tyson Chandler, and the Knicks two first-round picks (Tyrus Thomas and #9 this year) for Garnett - and McHale said no!! He must be the biggest idiot GM in sport.

If you're the Bulls, why make the trade for Garnett now?? He's a year older, Luol has improved immensely, and they have the talent that if they make a solid pick at #9 and add a veteran, they could easily win the East next season AND still have a young and improving team.

Paxson is not going to trade Luol, Gordon, and Nocioni for Garnett at this point. Who would play SF for the Bulls? What has Garnett ever won? I think the Bulls did better in the playoffs this season (sweeping the defending NBA Champs) than Garnett has EVER done.

Paxson is going to be patient and see if he can rip off LA for Kobe, Minnesota for Garnett, or in lesser deals Phoenix for Marion or Portland for Zach Randolph. Otherwise, take the best big man available at # 9, sign Nocioni and PJ on July 1, and then trade Duhon and possibly Nocioni, maybe a few second rounders or a future first for a veteran big man. That'll get them to one or two wins in the NBA Finals.
