By freezing the rents on rent stabilized apartments you are hurting the small landlords. Every year its a struggle to pay all operating expenses. I can't depend on my property to support my own expenses (does not even come close) and therefor have to work a 9-5. The reason I bought the building is to hopefully make money by selling it in 10 years or so. I am definitly not making money from the rent and need every rent hike in order to pay the increasing costs of repairs.
