A $1.5 Billion Vision For Coney Island

Submitted by Joey Cancel, Jun 20, 2007 14:06

Well it's about freaking time! I was born and raised in Brooklyn and will never trade Brooklyn in for anything in the world. But I've notice everyone in the world are moving forward and building new projects and New York City one of the riches cities in the world is the same boring place even in the Persian gulf inDubai adds a huge Disney-like project DUBAI widely touted as the Middle East's very own Orlando, Dubailand, a cluster of mega-billion-dollar projects, is gradually emerging across the desert sands of the booming Gulf emirateDubai adds a huge Disney-like project Dubai adds a huge Disney-like project . Read here about Dubai: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070619/lf_afp/lifestyleuaetourismconstruction_070619042822 New Jersey has casinos and they also have Great Adventures a water park and a safari and Long Island has Splish Splash but New York has a boring Coney Island they even did away with the amusement parks in the Rockaway's!! And, what happen to the Rockaway's are they just going to leave that land there to waste? But now Thor Equities wants to bring back life back into New York Brooklyn to say the least remember the Saying Brooklyn How Sweet It Is! That was said back in the Honeymooners days when Coney Island was Coney Island. Right Marty Markowitz Brooklyn Council Man? Brooklyn hasn't been sweet since then so let Thor Equities revitalize Brooklyn once again and I bet you the crime rate will go down because kids will have a place to go and have fun and their will be plenty of jobs as well. So instead of driving these developers away let them built and turn our Brooklyn into a Mega Mecca Coney Island once was at the turn of the century. Thank you Joey Cancel Brooklyn!
