Drawing more attention to Slaman Rushdie is indeed questionable, when his life had probably just returned to normal (www.washingtonpost.com). Whatever about the geopolitics involved here, the human side is that this man needs to be able to get on with his life. I was amused at Aidan Dowling's editorial cartoon (on www.aidandowling.com) where the Queen says 'Arise Sir Samlman, adding 'but remember to keep your head down.' For Rushdie, the advice is unfortunately true.
