Coney Developer Drops Condo Plan

What a shame! Coney Island is a rundown piece of Brooklyn and a new company wants to fix it up. Even though that section of the borough got a new minor league ball park a few years ago, there's still a weed-infested lot next to the ballpark. The rest of the Surf Avenue area is just as tacky and seedy. Only the Stillwell Avenue siubway terminal has been re-done. But, this latest venture will come a cropper (like other planned projects in NYC) because of the "NIMBY" crowd and their bureacratic allies.
