I have been a member of Gold's Gym on 54th Street in Manhattan for three years. Every year I complain to management about their practice of leaving huge glass windows and doors open on the hottest summer days while running air conditioning. They assert that they must keep them open to "sell smoothies and shakes."

I would love to learn of this bill's enactment. I live a block from Gold's and would be happy to ensure they are fined through the nose for their reprehensible behavior and total disregard for the conservation of energy in the Black Out Big Apple.
