Reissues Fit for a King

Thanks for the article about the new King Oliver reissues. It's a tremendous historical undertaking but the most interesting part of the story was left out. The producers painstakingly created different shaped stylus needles to fill up the record groove as fully as possible which was how they were able to get all the, and up till now unheard, extra sound that had been languishing at the bottom. It makes me want to pull out the records I still have and relisten to them!
