The Wrong Apology

How pusillanimous can Mayor Bloomberg and his administrtion be? They learned the wrong lesson from Mayor Giuliani's fight over inappropriate "art." He may have been rebuked in federal court but he fought the right fight. Does the First Amendment mean that we must accept any display of pornographic trash on public property because a left-wing student says it is art? I thought the courts at one time established the concept of community standards. And it is doubly outrageous that this exhibit was designed to insult the very people who have served to protect us all and have made it possible to live in freedom -- a freedom that these "art" students and their teachers have abused.
