I had not realized that civility and proper behavior had come down to a level where people's lives are threatened for holding a different point of view in New York City politics. What kind of standards do we have for public officials that we let people into city jobs who display no understanding of democracy. If someone disagrees with a particular position on an issue -- is this grounds to threaten their life!

In private industry if a person acted in this way they would be fired on the spot. What kind of message does this type of activity have for our children?
