Reader comment on:
An ‘Othello' For the Ages
in response to reader comment: LOVED IT!

Besides the thrill of seeing Alessandra
Ferri (Thursday Night) in her last season, the tone, drama and power of
this production was right on target with modern
interpretations of the story. The music was very
modern and the dance was a brilliant mix of the
classic and modern style.

Viewers well versed in the play's symbolism must have enjoyed Act 2's handkerchief passing and Iago's rage, success and arrogance were so believable. Yes, Desdemona seems not to have the full role of the female lead, but, many have argued that the play should have been called Iago and Lubovich might agree as well.
