Drink Now — Or Hold Your Peace

Submitted by Jeff Linder, May 24, 2007 14:12

There are many wine fanatics out there who aren't wealthy enough to do things like hold monthly vertical tastings of a first growth Bordeaux with a bunch of buddies. So when we manage to get our hands on a really top bottle, it becomes a major issue considering the appropriate time to open it In the last two paragraphs of Hellman's piece this week, he offers up one of the best moments I have ever heard for that special moment. A time when you know it's just right to pull the cork on a very special bottle. It showed how much he cared for his wine. But, even better, how much he cares for his wife. His story is one I won't forget and one wine piece I could actually read to my wife. If I could, I would tell him, thanks for sharing.
