Spitzer Team Courts Unions

Paid family leave is a hot issue for Democrats, but making it worthless at a mere $170 per week is simply a means of making the issue go away. In fact, if a law were to pass at $170 per week only those who do not financially need the pay will get the pay--only they will take the leave.

The "paid family leave" movement should reject such a bill because if it passed no better bill is likely to pass in the near future.

Unions and other "paid family leave" advocates, I hope, will recognize this as a ruse.
