As a member of the Advisory Council who is the head of a religious institution, I have to say that today's depiction is a distortion that only fans the flames started by your own arguments. I am an advisor as a Jew who sends his children to PUBLIC SCHOOL in Brooklyn; and though a rabbi, it's my sense of Jewish history as an American and Zionist that motivates my participation on this Advisory Committee. As religious leaders, each of us has a strong base in our communities (with hundreds of congregants who also participate in the Public School system) and believe in the school from a SECULAR perspective. The Advisory Council gives advice. That's the extent of my own power. Implying a hostile takeover of a public school by Al Qaeda sympathizers is yellow journalism.
