What the world needs now, is more realistic depictions of relationships in movies. I totally believe that--although I loved them at the time--John Hughesian perspectives on high school romance have totally damaged my expectations of relationships, overromanticizing them to a detrimental level. Maybe movies like this and the BreakUp will help people everywhere to understand that relationships are challenging and flawed because people are challenging and flawed.
