One Hell Of a Novel

Good review -- this book sounds interesting, even though I read mostly non-fiction.

However...

One point of fact: The North Africa Theatre is unique in that it saw no units of the Waffen-SS in active combat there. The German Army GFP (Secret Field Police) were there, as well as the regular Military Police, and there were some Intellegence personnel there (who perhaps were also members of the SS) but not evidence that the any Waffen-SS units served there.

This fact does not change the main thrust of the story as there were Waffen-SS POW's held here in the US.

Again, just a minor point of history.
