Correction Officer Charged With Disabling Surveillance System at Rikers During Fight

Submitted by r, May 16, 2007 10:04

The officer that temporarily disabled the jail's surveillance system obviously has done this befre and it is probably a common practice. I should hope that those involved in the incident had enough integrity to report the facts and not fabricate them as many do in order to protect those they serve with. Somone could have been killed, escaped or worst. Someone higher up has trained their staff to disable these systems that are inplce to protect them.
