Obama Proposes Retreat in Iraq

Submitted by John E. Kraft, Nov 21, 2006 16:11

What the Senator is proposing we do in Iraq is exactly what his party did in the Fall of 1974, with the problem of South Vietnam. The Democratic Congress cut off all future funding to the regime in Saigon. In April of the following year, that regime fell and South Vietnam disappeared off the map. The Senator can be forgiven since he was but a child when those events happened. But, he might want to study some history before thinking he has the background to be a U.S. President.
