The fact that other countries in the area, are not democracies, and their governments loathe to accept identical type of criticism, is irrelevant.

Most countries in the world do not have Israel's democracy.

Neither Jordan, nor Egypt, nor Saudi Arabia nor Syira will change any time soon, so why bring up the differences with Israel.

These countries are not threatened like Israel. No member of the UN is gearing up towards wiping it off the map. None of the above are harassed like Israel, no matter it's form of government.

The Winograd Commission may in the end have done Israel a service, if it improves their political-military relationship, and enhances Israel's military so-called "edge" over it's neighbors.

We must remember that Iran is a religious theocracy, ruled by Mullahs. Yet, they pose a mortal danger to Israel, Israel can have all the investigations (internal) it wants, but that won't insure it's survival, which depends on how tough it's army is.
