I was very disappointed when Michael Steele was not made Chairman of the Republican National Committee. I know enough about the history of our Country to understand why African Americans are often skeptical when white guys suggest to them what they should do. That being said, I think that the Republican Party must reach out to African Americans, and that the values of African Americans (economic, pro-family, pro-life, patriotism) are best represented by the Republicans. Finally, Michael Steele is my kind of Republican. He's a serious conservative thinker, a natural, articulate leader and a man of absolute integrity. It's clear that what you see is what you get. I hope that there will be a major role for him.
