MAYBE I MISSED THE STATED LOCATION OF THE ACTION IN THE PLOT OF " DIRTY DANCING , BUT IT NEVER REGISTERED WITH ME THAT IT WAS IN THE CATSKILLS , THOUGH I AM FAMILIAR WITH THE ETHNIC RESORTS THAT YOU MENTIONED IN THAT AREA. . I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE SHOOTING WAS DONE IN THE BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS AT THE FORMER CHIMNEY ROCK CAMP FOR BOYS . AT LAKE LURE, ---20 MILES EAST OF ASHVILLE , NORTH CAROLINA.
