"Resurgence of Fascism in Eastern Europe:"

I'd like to suggest that overblown rhetoric be limited. Poles, in fact, did not "support" the fascist regime during World War II. Do not equate Poland with Latvia or Estonia in this particular instance. Currently, Polish law does not persecute homosexual sexual behavior (nor has it since the interwar Second Republic) nor does Polish law tolerate anti-gay discrimination in spheres of employment or housing. The Warsaw public transport sector grants gay partners of employees health and pension benefits. LPR currently holds about 2-5 percent of the electorate's vote, according to recent polls. Is there anti-gay sentiment in Poland? You bet. Is Poland fascist? Let's get real. There are plenty of elected legislators in the United States who also warn against "pro-homosexual propaganda"...should we therefore conclude that our country is Stalin's playground?
