The Irish Roots Of Obama Found To Be Protestant

Submitted by Eugene Ryan, May 4, 2007 06:49

We welcome the news that Mr Obama's ancestors can be traced back to our village to a Kearney family. In our Parish History entitled 'Dunkerrin - A Parish in Ely OCarroll' which was published in 1988, we have reference to a John Kearney who was a member of a Relief Committee set up in 1846 to provide relief for people who were suffering during the Famine. I wonder is John Kearney related to Fulmuth Kearney , who emigrated in 1850.
