Mr. Broder Goes to Washington

Submitted by David Wallace, May 2, 2007 11:57

Senator Reid's declaration that the war is lost in Iraq is a betrayal of the American military and the commitment of the United States to bring order to Iraq in the midst of terrorism, war and the threat to world stability.

I do not quarrel with the Senator's right of opinion. However, as Majority Leader of his party, he forfeits his right to leadership for America, including her troops on foreign soil in the heat of battle.

Senator Reid is far from a "Profile In Courage." He has chosen to wave the white flag of surrender, an anathema to all that America stands for among its citizens and to those around the world who yearn for a beacon of freedom.
