Art in Brief

Dear Jennifer,

Tha nk you so much for spending so much time on the reivew of my exhibition "Women's Work:Homage to Feminist Art" at the Tabla Rasa Gallery. I was trhrilled to get the work of such accomplished artiists of the fromative period of feminism in the arts and place they in juxtapistion with fine work or women artists who came later. In my show I see the beginnings of what should have been the exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. I think an exhibition that would display in much more depth the work of the founding mother's and then move on to the greats for the decades is a necessity. It should be called "Continuum" and along with there should be historical facts and memobelia so younger audiences would know what it has been like for women artists from the brutal 60's and 70"s to the supposedly more open 2000's. If you can think where such a show could be held, Linda Stein and I would appreciate your imput.

Thanks again for your insightful coverage ,

Cindy Nemser
