I really hope the show isn't as boring as the review is. I have to wonder what kind of review the "Jerusalem Times" would have given Jesus Christ. Probably about the same I bet.... As is usually the case, the examination of the 'whole' focuses 'key issues' against the backdrop of mainstream American society - as if the general public were the real keepers of the standard of truth and true norms in religion. Should our standards really be issued to us by society? Mormon missionaries teach each person to go directly to the source for independent answers. Could there be a better way? It seems comic to me to use public opinion as a litmus test for proper religion. And hey, I don't even have a PhD to come to that conclusion! Surely God and his truth are independent of public opinion and mens creeds. If there is debate then let it commence with what constitutes 'authenticating' with our Maker vice shocking people about variances from the the 'norm.' +++ Matthew 7 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
