Many Eastern Europeans supported the Fascist rule of their countries during World War Two and spent the era of Soviet control longing for it's return. They now view their situation, following the collapse of Soviet control, as an opportunity to re-establish it. This homophobic rant is one example: the destruction of Russia's War Memorial in Estonia is another and there are many more. In these circumstances it is vital that the World Community responds to their efforts with clear and unequivocal disapproval. If they succeed in this Europe could face a stormy future
