Dominic Carter is a couragous man. Public people who bring out these tragedies helps people who are going through this. I think I recognize why my nephew had outbursts, as he was emotionally and physically abused. I suffer the memory, because I didn't stop it. Perhaps, now I even understand myself. I was an abused wife, both emotionally and physically. I left my husband when my child was 6 years old, with the help of counseling. Couseling gave me the confidence, to make a plan that will work and I and my son will be safe. Without counseling, I don't now if I could have left, I was so scared. I thought I was saving my life by staying, from fear of my husbands threats. However, by staying I was putting my life in jeopardy. Domnic Carter is doing a very brave thing that will help many. People will realize they are not the only ones who go through this and suffer and that perhaps they should not hold it in. I strongly urge everyone, in an abusive situation, to seek professional help. We all know what we should do, but fear, shame, lack of confidence and many other things can hold us to stay in torment.
