During the 2004 presidential election, I remember Dick Cheney making the exact same "threat"--that with a Democrat in charge, we "could get hit again." Giuliani is making the same statement Cheney made to put fear in all Americans. The Republicans seem to have no conscience or good ethical standards. More and more they seem to me to be the "bad guys". And the Dems seem to be the "good guys". And I was raised in a very Republican family. Also, I fail to see how George Bush and Rudi Giuliani were "heroes" after 9/11. President Bush was at his ranch a good month or more during the summer preceding 9/11. I remember that that disturbed me--he had just taken office in January and already was taking a 4 or 5 week vacation down at his ranch in Texas. Shouldn't he have been working in Washington, D.C.??? He ignored warnings about Arabs learning to fly airplanes and other signs; he was definitely "sleeping at the switch". Then after the attack he stands up with the firefighters and waves a flag, and acts like he is a hero. By his ignoring many impending signs of a possible disaster, I believe we were hit due to his negligence. Rudi G. is just using the 9/11 disaster, as Bush did in his second election, to get voted in.
