I myself am a pro-choice republican. What's more, unlike Mr. Sager, I'm happy as a clam being a pro-choice republican, and don't have a giant chip on my shoulder about having decided voluntarily to join a party that agrees with me most of the time.

But he's free to be bitter about his choice if abortion is an issue of such importance to him. However, he should think again about his conspiracy theory.

Anthony Kennedy isn't keeping Roe alive because he's in on Rove's plan to get-out-the-vote. Kennedy won't overturn Roe because he agrees with its jurisprudence. Sager thinks Pres. Bush's impact on abortion has been to preserve Roe? One more Bush appointee on SCOTUS and Roe is gone! The only charade is Sager's pretense that more conservative judges won't produce more conservative abortion jurisprudence.
