Since Trial, Cheney Had ‘No Occasion' To Speak to Libby

Submitted by Gerald McMorrow, Apr 16, 2007 11:03

If memory serves me, Cheney was once asked by a Congressional subcommittee how come he secured a long string of deferments from military service during the Vietnam war. He replied: " I had other priorities".

Presumably he still has "other priorities". A cold fish, indeed. And I support the Bush Administration - but Cheney always struck me as one who looks out for Mr. Cheney, first, last and always. What was it that Harry Truman supposedly said once? "If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog".
