Turkish Military Asks To Attack Iraqi Rebels

The Kurds are doing quite well in Iraq on account of the no-fly zones which provided them with a substantial head start in getting their act together.

I don't believe this means that they are in no danger of being impacted by the sectarian violence in Iraq once the US leaves .

While the US remains in Iraq the Kurds should be advised to curb guerilla activity as best they can and concentrate on strenghting their position in Iraq.

I also believe it behooves the Kurds to cooperate with the US instead of complicating an aleady difficult position.

I am uncertain "siding" with one or the other is the answer-both parties have been guilty of wrong-doing and it seems those parties need to resolve this themselves and between themselves. I don't see an "incursion" as the only option here.
