Mark Blount's contract was given by Danny Ainge and then traded for Wally's atrocious contract that was given by McHale. With regard to the Blount contract I was among those fooled by his 2 month period of dominance and was excited when the C's retained him. Someone was going to give him that money anyway, but the Scalabrine contract was a head-scratcher though hardly as restrictive as others in the NBA.
