Rutgers Women Will Address Controversy

Why is it that every time a remark is made about blacks, it becomes a major racial issue, but it doesn't matter how much you comment about whites or any other race. I'm so tired of hearing about slavery and how hard the blacks had it over a hundred years ago. No one is argueing that it was right or wrong except the black race. It's part of history and it's over and behind us. We worry about comments made that should just be ignored until one of the so called black "Pastors" needs some national attention, so all of a sudden it's national news. I have heard worse things said about our national leaders on late night TV and everyone just laughs it off. If these black leaders want to do something to be remembered for, let them march and protest about our children who's rihgt to pray in school has been taken away. Our country was founded on our belief in God, but they want to take "In God We Trust" off our currency. Don Imus was wrong in making his comments, but there's more important issues to worry about instead of trying to make a racial issue out of every comment made. I think everyone should be equal and have the same rights under the law, but do we have to cater to all the other races, except whites, just to make sure they have a greater opportunity in life. I personally know several families that are hard working and are struggling to get by because our local goverments won't allow them to receive assistance, when numeruos black families, whick I also know very well are getting hundres of dollars of assistance every week and they never have to work a minute to get it. We need to make the rules and stick to them by the letter for ALL races. To me, these things are more important than some comment someone say's on the radio. I personally don't care for Don Imus and don't like any of his comments, so I don't listen to him. Let him make his appology and get on with life. Let's spend more time looking out for the future of our children and this country that they are going to have to live in when we're all gone. All men and women were created equal, and that's just the way people have to look at it. If someone wants "Rev" in front of their name, then they need to stick to doing what preachers are called to do and that's preach the word of God. If they stick to that, they won't have time bicker over every comment that's made about black and white.
