Sure the number of minority students TAKING the SAT's is up- the City simply paid for them to take the exam- but how did they score? That would be a true measure of success. As to the City winning this award it is a mere window dressing. The City schools are suffering terribly under the lack of leadership for the past 5 years because nobody making any of the decisions understands children or education. The Broad, Carnegie, Exxon, Rockefeller and every other corporation/federation can not change what a disater this administration has been for our students no matter how many awards they give them.
