Audits should be run by the IRS on every college official with a vested interest in this decade's emerging education scandal. This includes Attorney General Cuomo's alma mater, Albany Law School, which directs all of its financial aid applicants to "The Access Group" headquartered in Lexington Kentucky. Access's rates for "private" loans range in the 9% to 11% for prospective law students (and others), Their loan program is authorized by, and, therefore, guaranteed by Fanny Mae, one of the most corrupt federally designated agencies ever. Mr. Charlow, of Columbia, is only one of 100's of beneficiaries of abuse in the student loan industry. A typical law school graduate with $100,000 in student loans has to pay nearly $1,000 a month just in interest payments! Its a shame, as some of our best and brightest are saddled with debt for life, while the leadership in the education loaning industry go sailing in their yachts, drink fine wine, and grow rich on America's middle class.
