Assuming Mr. Dienstag is right and continuing Mr. Henderson's thought -- that poor person may be able to raise the money, but it's not highly likely they'll be able to raise the several hundred thousand dollars for the initial transplant, then the tens of thousands for yearly maintenance -- that poor person would be the one passing out the free parachutes, but unable to use one themselves...

I believe Mr. Dienstag is pointing out the potential irony in donating organs when there is little chance of receiving one... Lifesharers adds to that irony by donating to an exclusive group of people. Though anyone can join that exclusive group -- that's of little solace to that person donating or their family
