Uncertainty Grows Over Gonzales's Job

It has been my understanding that the president, being duly elected by the people, has, according to rules of executive power, certain rights and privilages.During previous administrations, it has been noted that Presidents have exercised the right of hiring and firing appointees, either because of icompetence, or when political liabilities would have made it so, because of allegiance to another party. This being the case, The President should do everything, within his power, to protect not only his staff, but the prestige of the Presidency.
