Hello from Belgium,

I am reading this comment about the new released CD of highlights of the Bing Gala at the Met, and I am quite surprised to read : "In the title role is Franco Corelli, one of the most acclaimed Otellos in history" ???...

Is it possible for a "so called" Opera lover like Jay Nordlinger to do such a terrible mistake when we all know that Corelli didn't NEVER sing an entire performance of OTELLO on the stage...

After such wrong comment from him, I do not give any credit to this man to comment performances or recordings of Opera...

I would like to know from him where Corelli sang his "acclaimed OTELLO" ???...I am waiting for your answer, Mr Nordlinger.

By the way, because he is speaking of "the most acclaimed Otello in history" : only one tenor can be named and it is the great Plácido Domingo...No doubt for that !
