In answer to the commander-in-chief (Gary Kurpius) of the VFW, your group has never fully embraced, nor recognized the Vietnam Veterans or the Vietnam Era Veterans. Of course, you'd take an "Oh, well" attitude towards what the Eagles are doing. I know this for a fact because of statements given years ago by your group to me. "YOUR ACTION WAS A POLICE ACTION-----NOT A WAR!" That rings in my ears to this day and bile rises in my stomach every time I think of it. Americans died regardless!

I am a Veteran just as much as your compatriots regardless of whether my "WAR" was declared or not. Ever since I was talked down to by your VFW about my service years ago, I have held total disrespect for any of you and your group. A soldier is a soldier! A brother or sister is a brother or sister regardless! Have you forgot the values you so bravely fought for decades ago?

You can abandon your country in its' time of peril and need, if you wish, but I will be standing with the "EAGLES" on the 17th. Yes, as a VFW reject, I will be at the "WALL" and your "WWII MEMORIAL" to protect and serve our great country's fallen heroes, the same ones you served with, but deny them honor or respect this day!

I DO THIS NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF MY BELIEFS, BUT I DO THIS FOR YOU-----VFW!!!!
