I want to comment on the Waterford Crystal piece depicting Fr. Mychal Judge being carried by the Police,Fire ,Emergency personnel and our Son,John Maguire. For a long time people didn't realize that John was acting as a concerned civilian trying to do what he could on that horrible day.

John is a 1995 Graduate of West Point who had been recently separated from the U.S. Army and started working at Goldman Sachs. He left his office when the first plane hit the Twin Towers and headed towards the scene of mass distruction. What happened to him after he helped Fr. Judge is the real story.He continued to help and put himself in harms way and was pinned under a truck when the second tower fell.Thankfully he was able to get out and we are grateful.

September of 2005 John was activated and told to report to Active Duty in three weeks. John has been in Bagdad since April 2006. He was promoted to Major on July 2006. He is in Civil Affairs and continues to serve the oppressed in Iraq and lead and care for his Soldiers. When he returns home he will be married at the West Point Chapel on May 11th to Maureen Barker.

We are very proud of our Son,John. Please pray for his safe return.
