Remembering the King Of Pink Chablis

About a hundred years ago I was setting up a multi case display of IMPORTED (French) wines and Ernest walked into the store with one of his local people. First he chewed out his local guy for "allowing" a competitor to take that much floor space, then he offered me a job.

In my years in the biz, I always found the Gallo guys to be very much aware of what was doing, even when (at that time) all they had to sell were Modesto porducts.

I've since had the opportunity to see/taste the Sonoma line at the winery (in the company of the charming,Granddaughter, Gina). Ernest can look down from his heavenly vineyeard and smile.
