This whole episode is a sad joke. To waste taxpayers money like this should be a crime and the City should bill Dr. Eugene for the damage.

This disaster does bring an interesting loophole in the campaign finance laws to light. The New York City Campaign Finance Board is giving taxpayer financed matching funds to candidates who are not even eligible to serve in office if elected!!!

At the very least the New York City Campaign Finance rules need to be fixed so that only candidates that are actually eligible to serve in office get government money to run there campaigns!
