Senator Kennedy Will Reintroduce Immigration Bill
in response to reader comment: AMNESTY BY ANY OTHER NAME IS STILL AMNESTY

I think the Kennedy/ Mc Cain Bill should not be defined as amnesty, but PARDONED. The illegal aliens will still have to pay their dues to the American taxpayer with all those pre-requisites. Imagine yourself waiting for twelve years to become a permanent resident? That is if you pass all the requirements. If this people can wait that long,- free from any misdemeanor then they will be more American than the present Americans who don't want to recite the Pledge and sing the national anthem.

I myself could not say that businesses are profiteering from the illegals. Common laborers and landscapers in my county recieve an average of $8.50/ hr , much higher than the minimum wage. This of course depends on what they could do. Citizens are paid more, the problem is they don't last long.
