I congratulate Paul Hollander on his review of the above book.

I was with Korda on this journey ( he was a pasenger in my car) and can say that apart from the errors PH has pointed out there are many, many more. The majority of these would not be known to the general reader, but as one who was with Korda throughout his time in Budapest, I can safely say that almost nothing about his account of our journey is true.

At the request of the 1956 Institute in Budapest, an archive and association of historians on the events of 1956, I have recently completed a list of these errors, which I shall be sending to the Institute in the very near future. I think I spotted almost all of the errors that Mr Hollander points out, and if he likes I can send him my detailed critique.

If he has no objection I would like to forward his review to the 1956 Institute for the record.

The book has been translated into Hungarian and I believe it has very recently been published, despite warnings from the Institute that it is historically inaccurate.
